A compact multi-gas detector for personal protection
The Honeywell GasAlert MicroClip X3 is a portable -rated multigas detector designed to continuously monitor the atmosphere around the user. The version we offer simultaneously monitors four parameters: combustible gases as a percentage of the lower explosive limit (% LEL), oxygen (O₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).
Its compact size, light weight, and single-button operation make it a particularly well-suited solution for industrial applications, maintenance operations, and work in potentially hazardous atmospheres. The concentrations of all four gases are displayed simultaneously on the LCD screen.
Simultaneous Detection of LEL, O₂, CO, and H₂S
The MicroClip X3 combines four dedicated sensors to monitor the primary hazards encountered in many industrial environments: explosive atmospheres, oxygen deficiency or enrichment, and the presence of toxic gases.

The measurement of combustible gases is based on a catalytic sensor. It can be expressed as % LEL or, for methane, as a volume percentage, depending on the device configuration.
A long-life O₂ sensor specific to the X3 version
The GasAlert MicroClip X3 differs from the XL version in that its oxygen sensor is designed for a service life of up to 5 years. This improvement reduces the need to replace the O₂ sensor and helps minimize detector downtime.
The X3 also comes with a 3-year warranty that covers the sensors, compared to a 2-year warranty for the MicroClip XL version.
Multiple Alarms and IntelliFlash Visual Indication
If a configured threshold is exceeded, the MicroClip X3 immediately alerts the user with a combinationof audible, visual, and vibrating alarms. The audible alarm reaches 95 dB at 30 cm, with a typical peak of up to 100 dB.
Available alarms include low and high thresholds, VME and VLE values for toxic gases, out-of-range conditions, and multi-gas situations.
The green IntelliFlash™ indicator provides a periodic visual indication that the device is functioning properly. Upon startup, the detector also checks the sensors, battery, electronic circuits, and audible and visual alarms.
18 hours of battery life to cover a full shift
The rechargeable lithium-polymer battery typically provides 18 hours of battery life under normal conditions. It recharges in less than 6 hours.
At low temperatures, the detector is designed to maintain a minimum of 12 hours of battery life at -20 °C during the warranty period. The battery is built into the detector and must be replaced by an authorized technician.
IP68 rating and compact design for demanding environments
The MicroClip X3 features an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water. In particular, it can withstand immersion up to 1.2 m for 45 minutes under the conditions specified for the device.
Weighing only 179 g and measuring 112.5 × 60 × 32.2 mm, it remains compact when worn on clothing or protective gear.
Its operating temperature range is from -20 to +50 °C, with relative humidity from 0 to 95% without condensation.
Data Logging and Fleet Management
The GasAlert MicroClip X3 automatically records measurements and events during use. Its memory can store up to 16 hours of data at a 15-second recording interval; the oldest data is overwritten when the memory is full.
The 10 most recent alarm events are also stored along with their key details: start time, alarm type and duration, peak exposure, and sensor status.
The infrared connection and the IntelliDoX docking station allow you to retrieve data, configure the device, and automate certain functional testing and calibration operations using compatible tools.

Functional Test, Calibration, and Maintenance
We recommend performing a functional test before each day of use to verify the response of the four sensors and the activation of the audible and visual alarms. Calibration must be performed if the readings fall outside the expected limits.
Calibration should also be performed regularly depending on usage and the sensors’ exposure to contaminants, with a recommended maximum interval of six months.
Special attention must be paid to the catalytic LIE sensor: certain compounds, particularly silicones, sulfur compounds, halogenated products, or lead compounds, can alter its response. A functional test or calibration is recommended after any exposure that may have affected the sensor.
