Description

KEYSER PN16 Fire Hydrant with Two Female 100 Connectors

The PN16 fire suppression manifold with two valves is a hydraulic device designed to be connected to a fire hydrant to allow for the simultaneous supply of water to two hoses. It features a KEYSER female 100 inlet and two outlets available in DSP40 or DSP65, depending on the selected configuration.

Equipped with two independent valve outlets, this manifold allows the flow rate of each supply line to be adjusted separately. It is an ideal solution for firefighting professionals who need to distribute water from a fire hydrant to two separate lines.

What is a two-valve fire hydrant connector used for?

A fire hose coupler is a device designed to be installed on a fire hydrant to tap into its water supply. The dual-outlet configuration allows two fire hoses to be connected simultaneously from a single supply point.

Thanks to its two valves, each outlet can be controlled individually. This allows the operator to open, close, or adjust the flow rate of one line independently of the other, depending on the needs of the operation.

Two valve-type faucets for independent flow control

The PN16 manifold is equipped with two valve-type taps. This operating principle allows the flow rate of each of the two lines to be adjusted individually without causing water hammer.

When fully open, the valves’ design also ensures a very low pressure drop—an important feature for maintaining the hydraulic performance of the fire protection system.

KEYSER 100 female inlet compliant with standard NF S 61-708

The inlet fitting is a KEYSER female 100 type with a screw lock. According to the technical documentation, this fitting complies with the NF S 61-708 standard.

This configuration allows the valve to be connected to a compatible fire hydrant and ensures that the connection remains mechanically secure during use.

Two configurations: 2 DSP40 outlets or 2 DSP65 outlets

The KEYSER female 100 fire stop is available in two configurations to accommodate the diameter of the lines to be supplied:

  • KEYSER Female 100 to 2 × DSP40
  • KEYSER Female 100 to 2 × DSP65

The outlet couplings are symmetrical, self-sealing DSP couplings without a lock. The choice between the DSP40 and DSP65 versions allows the fire hose coupling to be adapted to the hoses and hydraulic equipment used on-site or during an emergency response.

Constructed of fire-red plastic-coated aluminum

The coupling is made of fire-red powder-coated aluminum. This construction meets the requirements for equipment intended for professional firefighting applications.

The documentation also indicates that the product is manufactured in France, with quality control and attention paid to the quality of materials and heat treatment.

A check valve designed to minimize pressure loss

The check valve’s hydraulic design ensures a very low pressure drop when the valves are fully open. This feature helps maintain the available flow rate between the fire hydrant and the connected lines.

At the same time, the valve-type valves allow for gradual opening and closing, enabling separate control of each branch line while preventing water hammer.

Quality Control and Leak Testing

The documentation indicates that each check valve undergoes 100% individual leak testing during production. The manufacturing process also includes quality control, focusing in particular on the materials used and their heat treatment.

These checks meet the requirements for hydraulic equipment intended for use in professional firefighting systems.

Advantages of the PN16 Fire Check Valve with Two Valves

  • Allows two hoses to be supplied from a single fire hydrant
  • Two independently controlled valve outlets
  • Individual flow rate adjustment for each line
  • Designed to prevent water hammer
  • Very low pressure drop at full opening
  • 100 female KEYSER inlet with screw lock
  • Two configurations available: 2 × DSP40 or 2 × DSP65
  • Constructed of fire-red plastic-coated aluminum
  • Made in France
  • Individual leak test performed during production

DSP40 or DSP65 fire stop: which version should you choose?

The choice of fire barrier depends primarily on the diameter of the pipes and the equipment to be connected. The 2 × DSP40 version is designed for systems using DSP40 connections, while the 2 × DSP65 version supplies two lines equipped with DSP65 connections.

In both configurations, the inlet remains the same—a 100 female KEYSER coupling—allowing you to select the valve based on the required outlets without changing the connection method at the fire hydrant.
