In-line foam injector with metering valve and hose

The in-line foam injector with a check valve and metering valve allows a foam concentrate to be introduced into a DN40 (1-1/2") fire line to produce a foam solution that can be used directly with a compatible handheld nozzle or foam tube. Its metering valve allows for the selection of several dosing rates: OFF, 0.2%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 1%, 2%, and 3%. It can be mounted on the pump, at the fire handheld nozzle, or at the facility, with a maximum downstream length of 45 m when the injector is installed on the pump. Available in 115 L/min and 190 L/min kits.

Description

The in-line foam injector with a metering valve is designed to incorporate a foam concentrator into a fire line to produce a foam solution that is immediately ready for use during an emergency response. It is used on a DN40 line and must be paired with a handheld nozzle or a foam tube compatible with the injector’s flow rate.

This version comes with a suction hose. This Venturi device allows the foam concentrate to be drawn in and the concentration adjusted to suit the application.

Adjustable dosage depending on the foam concentrate and the operation

The dosing valve allows you to select the percentage based on the type of foam concentrate used and the desired application. The available settings are: OFF, 0.2%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 1%, 2%, and 3%.

This adjustment range allows the foam concentrate injection to be adapted to various scenarios: additive application, foam production, industrial risk response, agricultural use, or use with foam concentrates requiring specific concentrations.

Installation at the pump or at the end of the line

The injector can be mounted at the pump or at the end of the line. When the injector is installed at the pump, the maximum recommended downstream hose length is approximately 45 m (150 ft).

To maintain consistent foam production, the injector must be paired with a foam handheld nozzle r or foam head with the same flow rate. The selection of flow rate, injection ratio, foam concentrate, and downstream hose length must be verified before use.

FAQ – In-line foam injector with check valve and shut-off valve

What does this version of the foam injector include?

This version includesthe foam injector, the check valve and shut-off valve, and the suction system for a 5-gallon container.

What is the dosing valve used for?

The variable valve allows you to adjust the foam concentrate injection rate as needed. The available settings are OFF, 0.2%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 1%, 2%, and 3%.

How do I choose the injector flow rate?

The flow rate must match that of the foam handheld nozzle r or foam head being used. The corresponding manufacturer models are available in 15, 30, or 50 GPM, which is approximately 60, 115, or 190 L/min. This product is available as a 115 L/min kit and a 200 L/min kit.

Can the injector be installed directly on the pump?

Yes. The injector can be mounted on the pump or at the end of the line. When mounted on the pump, the length of the downstream hose must not exceed 45 m.
