The DB100 DL flowmeter is a professional measuring device designed for monitoring and checking fire hydrants. Fully digital, it enables precise measurement of water flow, pressure and volume during regulatory testing or maintenance operations.

How a flowmeter works

A flowmeter is a device used to measure the volume of fluid flowing through a pipe over a given period of time. In the case of the DB100 DL, measurement is based on a Woltmann-type turbine, renowned for its accuracy in high-flow hydraulic applications.

When water flows through the device, it causes the turbine to rotate. This rotation is converted into digital data, which is displayed in real time:

  • Instantaneous flow rate (m³/h)
  • Total volume flowed
  • Network pressure

This principle guarantees reliable, reproducible measurement, essential for hydrant performance control and regulatory compliance.
