Description

The Scotty in-line foam injector is designed to be installed directly on a fire line to incorporate a foaming solution into the water flow. It produces a water/foam concentrate mixture that is easy to use, for supplying compatible foam equipment.

This model is available in three flow rates: 60 L/min, 115 L/min, and 200 L/min. Its compact design facilitates integration into a compatible fire hose line, particularly in a DN40 configuration or approximately 38 mm, depending on the connection used. Set to 1% and supplied without a hose, it is suitable for emergency responses, fire drills, foam system tests, or applications requiring a mobile solution that can be quickly installed.

Three models available depending on the desired flow rate

The in-line foam injector is available in 60 L/min, 115 L/min, or 200 L/min models. The choice of model depends on the line’s flow rate, the handheld nozzle, or the foam accessory used downstream.

  • 60 L/min model: suitable for applications with moderate flow rates, testing, and lightweight mobile configurations.
  • 115 L/min model: Suitable for intermediate needs and routine use on a compatible fire line.
  • 200 L/min model: Suitable for configurations requiring a higher flow rate to supply compatible foam equipment.

Advantages of the in-line foam injector

  • Three flow rates available—60 L/min, 115 L/min, or 200 L/min—to match the injector to the foam equipment being used.
  • Simple to use, with no need for complex permanent installation.
  • Dosing integrated into the line, useful for generating a water/foam concentrate mixture in the field.
  • Portable design, suitable for emergency response teams, testing, and training.
  • Use with an appropriate foam concentrate, depending on the risk to be addressed and operational guidelines.
  • Useful for drills and testing of foam systems.

FAQ – Scotty In-Line Foam Injector 60, 115, and 200 L/min

Which model should I choose: 60, 115, or 200 L/min?

The choice depends on the required flow rate and the foam equipment being supplied. The 60 L/min version is suitable for applications requiring moderate flow rates, the 115 L/min version for intermediate applications, and the 200 L/min version for configurations requiring a higher flow rate. The injector must be compatible with the foam- handheld nozzle, generator, or accessory being used.

What does “set to 1%” mean?

This means that the injector is designed to incorporate the foam concentrate at a 1% concentration, provided that a compatible foam concentrate is used and the flow rate, pressure, and connection requirements specified for the installation are met.

Why choose an in-line model over a fixed dosing system?

An in-line model is easier to transport, install, and use for occasional or mobile applications. A fixed system is generally preferred for a permanent installation with higher flow rate, dosing, or automation requirements.

Is this type of injector suitable for all foam concentrates?

No. The foam concentrate must be suitable for the hazard being addressed and compatible with the equipment being used. Before use, it is recommended to verify the foam concentrate’s specifications, the expected dosage, and the operating conditions for the operation.
