PIL hose information:

A PIL hose is a special type of fire hose used by firefighters:
PIL stands for "Pompier Incendie Légèrement Armé" (or sometimes "Pompier Incendie Léger", depending on the manufacturer).
This is a flat, flexible hose, generally without heavy armouring, used to transport and deliver water during firefighting operations.
It is lighter and easier to handle than a reinforced hose (such as fire hose reel or metal-armored hose), making it easier to deploy quickly.
PIL hose is often used in conjunction with other fire-fighting equipment (hose reels, motor-driven pumps, tankers).
In short: PIL hose is a flexible, lightweight fire hose standardized for fire-fighters, designed to transport water under pressure.
