The Amputated Limb First Aid Kit is designed for professional environments where the use of machinery, sharp tools, or cutting equipment can result in serious injury to the hand or fingers.
Unlike a general-purpose first-aid kit, its contents have been designed to address two needs simultaneously: providing the necessary supplies to apply pressure and protect the injured person, while also allowing the severed limb to be retrieved and preserved under appropriate conditions until medical care is available.
Preserving the severed limb without direct contact with cold
The kit contains a 3-compartment insulated pouch. The central compartment is intended for the severed limb, while the other two hold the instant cold packs.
This design keeps the limb in a cooled environment without placing it directly against the cold packs. The two packs provided generate cold independently and therefore do not require a refrigerator near the accident site.

Caring for the injured person while waiting for emergency services
The kit is not limited to preserving a severed limb. The hemostatic pad, along with a sterile gauze pad and a pair of gloves, is provided to allow for applying pressure if necessary.
The triangular sling supports the injured arm, while the survival blanket can be used to protect the victim while waiting for medical attention.
Place as close as possible to high-risk machinery
The wall mount allows the kit to be installed directly in areas where there is a risk of amputation or severe cuts: machine shops, cutting areas, woodworking shops, industrial maintenance facilities, or workstations equipped with machines containing sharp parts.
This placement ensures that specialized equipment is immediately available without having to search for it in a general-purpose first-aid kit. The handle then makes it easy to transport the kit to the site of the accident.
A specific user manual included in the kit
The illustrated leaflet provided with the kit makes it easy to identify and use the various components. It also includes a list of SOS Mains contact information, tailored to this type of emergency where rapid referral to a specialized facility is critical.
This kit is a specialized first-aid kit and is not a substitute for calling emergency services or seeking appropriate medical care.
