Threaded steel strainer

The SYM/APM suction strainer without a check valve, made of sheet metal, is designed to protect a pump or suction line by limiting the entry of large particles into the system. Available in DN40 and DN65, it is equipped with a Guillemin Symétrique coupling without a lock, a steel/perforated sheet metal strainer, and an aluminum coupling. This non-check valve version provides coarse filtration at the line inlet, without a check valve function or fine filtration.

Description

The SYM/APM suction strainer without a check valve, made of sheet metal, is designed to protect a pump or suction line from the ingress of large particles when pumping water. It prevents the suction of debris that could disrupt the pump’s operation or clog the system.

It is available in two models, DN40 and DN65, to fit compatible suction lines. Each model is equipped with a Guillemin Symétrique coupling without a lock, featuring a steel/perforated sheet metal strainer and an aluminum coupling.

Two models available: DN40 or DN65

This strainer is available in DN40 and DN65. The choice of model depends on the diameter of the suction line, the connection available on the system, and the flow rate handled by the pump in use.

The DN40 model has an outer diameter of 12.55 cm, a height of 10.10 cm without the fitting, and a height of 14.50 cm with the fitting. The DN65 model has an outer diameter of 15.09 cm, a height of 12.17 cm without a fitting, and a height of 16.73 cm with a fitting. Both models feature 0.95 cm perforations.

Strainer without check valve for coarse filtration

This strainer is a non-check-valve version. It therefore does not retain water in the suction line after the pump is shut off and does not replace a check valve. It provides only coarse protection against large debris.

Before use, verify the compatibility of the SYM/APM DN40 or DN65 interface, ensure there is no play or misalignment, confirm that the strainer remains submerged in the suction line, and check that the perforations are not obstructed.
